Epic/Sony Records is launching Oprah’s Pop
Star Challenge 2004 Cast Album on The Oprah Show
today. 4-Time Grammy Nominee Steve “Silk”
Hurley produced the entire album, which is in
stores now. The show will feature performances
from the contestants, as well as a look at the
making of the project.

Steve "Silk" Hurley has been busy the
last three weeks producing the backing music tracks
for the contestants on Oprah's "Pop Star
Challenge" contest. He's also part
of Oprah's "Dream Team" that helped
select the final contestants and get them prepared
for their performances on the show.
The
first shows aired on Monday, February 9th, and
16th, and hopefully you didn't miss them. Be sure
to tune in Monday and see Silk in action!

out with fellow Chicago Southsider R. Kelly at
the release party for his new CD, The R. In R&B
Collection Vol. 1. The bash was hosted by Power
92-FM Chicago, and the first copies of the CD
were sold by George's Music Room at midnight.
Silk
& The People's Choice Remix of R. Kelly's
"Thoia Thoing" has been the #1 most
requested record on Power 92 several times in
the last few weeks, and is getting the same attention
across the country. Meanwhile, Silk's House Remix
is heating up in the clubs and mixshows as well.
